Transportation
The island is accessed via a three bridge causeway from the mainland. Traveling the streets and roads of Sanibel is relatively easy. Other than high season, January-April, traffic is very manageable. While there is no municipal mass transit service, the privately operated Sanibel TROLLY combines hop-on, hop-off transportation with a narrative about the history and attractions of Sanibel. Airport Transportation services are also available as well as a number of private limousine and taxi services.
